Carpet Binding ~ Done With Precision

Our standard application is 1.25" polyester binding. We use 1.25" for our standard as opposed to 3/4" because it gets a better grab onto the carpet, ultimately allowing for better protection for your carpet edges. Along with the 1.25" polyester binding we use an industrial strength monofilament and nylon thread. It’s your choice: this application can be subtle or you can choose an accent color!

Carpet Serging ~ Done With Precision

Serging  is when yarn gets wrapped around the edge of the carpet repeatedly. This is an application you’ll see mostly on high-end carpeting;  woven goods or Orientals carpets commonly have serging as a standard application.

We use a cotton yarn, 3/4" polyester binding & an industrial strength wax-coated nylon thread for this application.

The serging machines we use bind & serge simultaneously, ensuring for the best quality serging in the area!

Sisal Binding / Wide Border Binding ~ Done With Precision

We use 3” or 5” width sisal binding tape. This application is a no-stitch look in which the sisal tape is top-stitched, then hot-glued to the back of the carpet. The front exposure can range anywhere from 1.25” – 2.5”. This is the highest priced application because it involves more labor due to the process of which it is applied.

Another consideration to the application is the way you would like the corners to look. The standard is a boxed corner, where the material is squared to the edge and securely fastened on the back. The other option is mitered corners, in which the material is angled at 45 degrees then securely fastened to the back of the carpet. Mitered corners do cost extra as they are more labor intensive; plus, they give the carpet a more luxurious finish. While this application can be put onto any carpet, there are cases when the no-stitch look has to be used due to the fibers of the carpet, which is something to keep in mind if you plan on having sisal binding on your carpet. Carpet /Cove Base ~ Done With Precision

Carpet Base/ cove base is a commercial application you’ll generally see in hospitals, motels, hotels & schools. There are no rules with carpeting; Even if you like carpet base for residential purposes that’s possible too! Carpet Cove Base is carpet cut into thin strips, the size can vary anywhere from 2" to 6", the binding is then applied to the visible edge of the carpet strip. The strips are then located along the walls where there is carpet  just as you would use wood baseboards, vinyl, or rubber types. Carpet Cove Base is attractive and versatile. It can be made from the same carpet that is installed so it matches the color perfectly. It also has benefits your housekeeping staff as it doesn't leave a mark when it's hit with vacuum cleaners. We use 3/4” polyester binding, nylon thread & monofilament as the standard application.

Carpet Fringing ~ Done With Precision

DWP Carpet Binding's fringes vary from short, string fringe to long, knotted fringe. Similar to serging, we first bind the ends of the carpet then apply the fringe; the binding prevents the carpet’s edge from fraying. Fringing can be used on any type of carpet. It is a wonderful application to use when trying to accomplish a more appealing look for your carpet. We have fringe in beige, tan & green tones.

The lengths of fringe vary between 2.5"- 4.5" (prices vary from fringe to fringe). DWP Carpet Binding also repairs of your "sentimental pieces" If you have a piece of carpet that is of sentimental value that has damaged fringe give us a call today!

Seaming / Joining Commercial Carpet ~ Done With Precision

Done With Precision Carpet Binding has the ability to seam carpets. Most pieces come into us pre-seamed as this is a task that most mechanics do prior to binding or installation. NO SEAMS ARE INVISIBLE! We do our best to make any seams we take on as discrete as possible. Seams’ visibility depend mostly on the type of carpet being seamed. The best seams are when high density plush carpets are used. If you are concerned with seams being visible, it’s best to buy enough carpet so that seaming is not needed.

We are unique in that we don’t necessarily have to use a standard seam-tape. Seam-tape is backed with a brown paper material, which sometimes could be unpleasing to the eye. In cases where we like a more aesthetically pleasing look we use a heavy duty scrim tape (ranging from 4” – 6” width) with hot-glue that dries clear as it cools.

Area Rug Repairs ~ Done With Precision

At Done With Precision Carpet Binding we are happy to fix any area rug you may have that needs some attention. Unfortunately, we DO NOT make residential calls on-site. If you have an area rug that needs repairs it would have to be brought into our shop in order to be worked on. Aside from that, we have done repairs on many varieties of carpets. In most cases the carpet merely needs to be cut back, re-squared & bound or serged depending on the existing application (or that of your choice of course!). If you can bring it into us, more than likely we can repair your rug!
